The client brief for this prime parcel of land located in the heart of the Daylesford Township, was to create six to eight villas designed for weekend to week long holiday accommodation.- Daylesford Development
The villa's design was to reflect Daylesford's international reputation as a lifestyle destination for the discerning traveller. The client brief required each villa to accommodate different types of groupings of people which regularly visit Daylesford, ranging from couples to groups of couples and also families. Most importantly, each villa was required to have a sense of privacy from the other villas.
The villas were to be designed for total comfort and easy, relaxed living. Each villa required a living and meals area, kitchen and three bedrooms. Particular emphasis was placed on the bathroom areas, with a spa being specified for the ensuite. The brief also required outdoor deck areas to be included.
The key challenge for this project was to create a private atmosphere for each villa, whilst providing large open spaces with extensive views across to the ranges.
